Florida Heritage Day
November 12, 2022
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Featuring Florida music, folk crafts, living history demonstrations, pioneer games for kids and hands-on activities for kids and adults
Christmas on the Florida Frontier
December 2022
Step back in time to a simpler era of celebrating Christmas on the Florida Frontier. Join us as we make and play with homemade toys, create cornhusk dolls, do soap carving, dip candles, listen to old-time music, square dance, sing carols, decorate a Christmas tree, make Christmas crafts and a visit far-from-home soldier's encampment.
Dade's Battle Reenactment Weekend
January 7 and 8, 2023
Each year the Dade Battle Reenactment weekend works to demonstrate and educate by recreating the December 28, 1835 Seminole Indian attack on Dade's men who were marching from Fort Brooke (present day Tampa) to Fort King (present day Ocala). Living historians and reenactors bring history to life during this weekend and help pass on this important history to others.

A Road Back in Time
February 2023
A Florida History program that is offered free to all school groups. Visit homes of Seminoles, settlers and soldiers. Hear their stories and speak with them about the hardships of life on the Florida frontier in the 1830s. Students will be able to experience firsthand how these early residents of Florida lived by participating in activities from playing pioneer games to making candles.
World War II Commemorative Event

Come out and join the Dade Battlefield Society in honoring those who served during World War II, both on the warfront and the homefront. More information coming soon!!
